By collecting definitions of peace from members of local communities, we aim to re-examine how peace is being conceptualized and to re-define these conceptualizations based on local peace perspectives.

Inform peace policies through research

By analysing definitions of peace, we aim to inform government and non-governmental agencies in integrating local peace perspectives in their policies and projects and to consider their impact on everyday people’s understanding of peace.

Empower recipients of peace projects

By understanding local peace perspectives, we aim to work with local communities in realizing their peace aspirations through community outreach projects.
